When & How to Schedule a Referral Appointment

Immediate, post-diagnosis consultation allows for a thorough review and optimal planning of your pet's case prior to initiating any therapy, including coordination with your primary veterinarian and/or referral specialist. However, even patients with chronic or advanced disease may benefit from a consultation-based treatment plan instituted at any time in the course of their disease. You may call to schedule an appointment during regular office hours. We request your pet's current medical records be faxed at least 48 hours ahead of your scheduled consultation and that any medication and diagnostic imaging (x-rays, MRI, CT scan) be brought with you and your pet to your initial consultation.  Due to the large volume of information covered during your consultation, we strongly recommend those induviduals responsible for making decisions regarding your pet's treatment be present at the consultation.  If that is not possible, a second consultation by phone can be scheduled for the party not present, in which case, a phone consultation fee of $70 will apply.
